Matthew Santonastaso is a proud father of four and a longtime resident of the Monadnock region.
Grew up in Winchendon, Massachusetts. As a child Matthew spent summers with the Boy Scouts at Camp Wanocksett in Dublin. He moved to Rindge in 2014 and later moved to Jaffrey.
Matthew is a local business owner , Helicopter Flight Instructor, and part-time truck driver, Matthew understands the realities facing families and small businesses in our district.
I wasn’t planning to run for office again. After serving two terms in the New Hampshire House, I thought I did my time in public service and decided to not run again.
But when local leaders couldn’t find another Republican candidate in time for Jaffrey and Dublin, they reached out and asked me to step up. After talking it over with my wife, I accepted the call.
Jaffrey and Dublin deserve experienced, common-sense representation — and I’m ready to serve again.
While serving in Concord I built alliances with Democrats, Republicans, progressives, and libertarians to get things done for our region.
From growing up visiting Jaffrey as a child to now raising my family here, this community has always been part of my life.
As a veteran, helicopter instructor, and heating fuel driver, I bring practical, hands-on experience to every decision.
Served on the House Executive Departments and Administration Committee. Worked across party lines with Democrats, Republicans, progressives, and libertarians.
